CRE 2004 Question about Compact & Repair Database option

Hi,My network consists of 3 desktops running Win XP home. I have Check Register Express 2004  installed on all 3 computers. All 3 computers are shared. Looks like threr were a power outage and the database on one of the networked computers got corrupted and when I click on  CRE2004 i receive a RunTime Error 3078.  I did some research and found out that I have to use compact and repair option on that computer in order to correct the problem. Should I execute Compact & Repair option on the networked computer or do I have to disconnect the network drive, do compact and repair and then map that drive again? What do guys think my best options are?

Do it locally, on the server and the workstation.

Thank you for your help, but the problem is not with Compacting and Repair. I finally was able to find out what the actual problem was. There was a problem with network on this computer (T2)  and it was loosing a network connection. I fixed the problem. It was a bad APC Battery backup. After I replaced with a new one, everything looks normal and works fine as well, but I am getting a RunTime Support message:
"The database couldn't be found at the location specified. Please make sure that the drive or directory is available, or run "Select DB Utility" in file menu to spacify new location".
I ignore it and click "OK" and everything works fine and all the transactions on both computers are in sink.
Here is some info. CRE 2004 is installed on both computers that are networked, 1st computer is T1 and the second one is T2. Share name on T1 is "C".
I tried to map a networked drive on T2 to \\T1\c and checked the box to reconnect at logon, but still getting the same message.
If you can guide me what do I have to do in order not receive this message, it would be very much appreciated.
